Welcome to Kora. By downloading, accessing, or using the Kora mobile application or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Kora

Kora is a running coaching platform that connects runners with certified running coaches for personalised training plans, 1:1 messaging, and performance tracking. Kora is operated by Kora Running, Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental permission. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for your account security and all activity under it.
• You may not share your account or create multiple accounts.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• Kora offers monthly subscription plans. Current pricing is at kora.run.
• All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
• You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

5. Coaching Services

• Coaches on Kora are independent contractors, not employees of Kora.
• Coaching advice is for training purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.
• Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise program.
• Kora does not guarantee specific fitness results or race outcomes.
• We reserve the right to reassign coaches if necessary, with notice to affected users.

6. Health and Safety

Exercise involves inherent risks. By using Kora you acknowledge that:

• You participate in training activities at your own risk.
• You are responsible for knowing your physical limits.
• You should stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain or concerning symptoms.
• Kora and its coaches are not liable for injuries sustained during training.

7. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you submit, including messages and videos.
• By submitting content, you grant Kora a limited license to use it to provide the Service.
• You must not submit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Harassing, abusing, or harming other users or coaches.
• Attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Reverse engineering, copying, or distributing any part of the Service.
• Interfering with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including the Kora name, logo, and software — are owned by Kora Running, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kora Running, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Kora Running, Inc. from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@kora.run.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of North Carolina.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or notice in the app. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
