Kora Running, Inc. ("Kora," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Kora mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Profile information: your running goals, experience level, race history, injury history, and preferences.
• Training data: workouts, mileage, pace, completed activities, and progress snapshots.
• Communications: messages exchanged between you and your coach within the app.
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, device type, operating system, and IP address.
• Video submissions: running form videos you voluntarily submit for coach review.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Match you with a suitable running coach.
• Enable communication between you and your coach.
• Generate training plans, race predictions, and progress tracking.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Send service-related emails and notifications.
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

• With your coach: your profile, training data, messages, and video submissions are shared with your assigned coach.
• Service providers: trusted third parties (MongoDB Atlas, Stripe, Render) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Kora or others.
• Business transfers: in a merger or acquisition, we will notify you before your data is transferred.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@kora.run. We will process requests within 30 days.

5. Security

We use TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypt sensitive data at rest, and hash passwords using bcrypt. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

• Access: request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data.
